Deleting Files and Folders

Deleting files and folders is something that only an administrator of SuiteFiles can do. For standard users there is a work around that we will also explain in this article.

Delete a Single File - Administrators

An administrator of SuiteFiles can delete a single file from SuiteFiles at any time. This is done by:

  • Navigating to the file,
  • Clicking the + file actions icon to the right of the file,
  • Clicking the Delete icon, and
  • Confirming the action by clicking Delete File button.

Delete Multiple Files - Administrators

An administrator of SuiteFiles can delete multiple files from SuiteFiles at any time. This is done by:

  • Navigating to the files,
  • Selecting the files to delete by clicking the checkboxes to the left og the file name,
  • Clicking the Delete button, 
  • Confirming the action by clickign the Delete Files button. 

Delete a Folder - Administrators

An administrator of SuiteFiles can delete a folder (only one folder at a time) and all of the content within that folder (subfolders and files). This is done by:

  • Navigating to the folder to be deleted,
  • Clicking the Edit icon,
  • Clicking the Delete icon, 
  • Confirming the delete action by clicking th OK button.

Delete a Single File - Standard Users

Standard users can't delete single files. They don't have the delete option.

The work around is to create a "Trash" or "Deleted Items" folder and  move the file you wish to delete into this and letting the site administrator delete them.

Delete Multiple Files - Standard Users

Standard users can't delete multiple files. They don't have the delete option.

The work around is to create a "Trash" or "Deleted Items" folder and  move the files you wish to delete into this and letting the site administrator delete them.

Delete  a Folder - Standard Users

Standard users can't delete folders. They don't have the delete option.
