SuiteFiles Outlook add-in settings

The SuiteFiles Outlook add-in will allow you to enable or disable the Save on Send prompt, set the default location to save sent emails, and enable or disable the email template pre-population prompt.


Accessing the SuiteFiles Outlook add-in settings

The SuiteFiles Outlook settings can be accessed by clicking the Settings icon at the bottom right of the add-in panel:

How to change the Save on Send prompt setting

By default, the SuiteFiles Outlook add-in will display the Save on Send prompt, allowing you to file your sent emails into the SuiteFiles system. To disable or re-enable this prompt:

  1. Click the Settings icon
  2. Check or un-check the Prompt me to save on send setting
  3. Click the Save Settings button 

How to change the default folder location

When choosing to save an email when sending, the default option only allows you to save the email to one of your Client folders. Some users may need to save emails to any folder in SuiteFiles and this can be configured in the settings. 

  1. Click the Settings icon
  2. Change the drop down setting between Clients or HomeClients allows you to navigate within the Clients folder and its sub-folders, while Home allows you to navigate through folders anywhere in SuiteFiles
  3. Click the Save Settings button

How to change the email template pre-population prompt 

You can choose to disable the prompt for email template pre-population that displays when selecting an email template if you aren't using client pre-population and would like to save time.

  1. Click the Settings icon
  2. Check or un-check the Prompt me to prepopulate email templates setting
  3. Click the Save Settings button
