If you've received our Permissions emails (May 2025) and want to confirm your Microsoft App Permissions have been applied correctly, your M365 Global Administrator can follow these steps.

Please note: These steps need to be performed by your Microsoft365 Global Administrator. Not sure if you're a Global Admin? Check following these steps

Confirming permissions have applied correctly

Follow the below steps to check which permissions are granted:

  1. Login to your tenant using M365 Global Admin credentials.

  2. Go to https://portal.azure.com
  3. In Azure search, search “enterprise” and open Enterprise Applications

  4. Select SuiteFiles from the list of applications

  5. On the left hand menu, open Security

  6. From the drop down menu, select Permissions

  7. This will display the permissions granted with a few helpful details

These permissions should read as Delegated: Delegated, Granted through: Admin consent, which means it is applicable to all users.

If your M365 Global Admin has actioned the Permissions email sent to SuiteFiles Admins in May 2025, your list should now include the four 'Mail' related permissions as shown below.

If permissions are not available

If someone has revoked the permissions, your M365 Global Admin can change them.

These steps also apply to those who don't wish to access the link in the Permissions emails sent to SuiteFiles Admins in May 2025.

You'll likely see fewer permissions, as prior to 1st June 2025, email permissions are not mandatory, just encouraged:
  1. Login to your tenant using M365 Global Admin credentials.

  2. Go to https://portal.azure.com
  3. In Azure search, search “enterprise” and open Enterprise Applications

  4. Select SuiteFiles from the list of applications

  5. On the left hand menu, open Security

  6. From the drop down menu, select Permissions

  7. Click Grant Admin Consent for Suite (SiteName)
  8. When prompted with the Microsoft prompt to grant permissions on behalf of all users in the organization (sometimes this is a checkbox option, sometimes not), accept this and the permissions will update.
